What Our Families Are Saying About Belvedere Commons of Tampa

The Fall Festival was a huge success.  Everyone seemed to be having a good time.  I know you put a lot of time and energy into this event.  You're the best!

A Match in Heaven I was given less than a week to find a new location for my step-dad from an ALF/Rehab facility. When BELVEDERE COMMONS was contacted, the director sent Kimberly over immediately to do an evaluation even though it  was close to closing. This was my first encounter with a staff member of BELVEDERE COMMONS. I was so impressed with her compassion, passion, and warmth. She stole my heart as I observed her communicate with my step dad. She stole his heart too! I never saw him respond immediately to another person since my mom passed. This was the beginning of a match made in heaven, not only with KIM but with TAMI and TRACY. My heart was singing and praising GOD!! My Step dad has been there 3 weeks and I have never seen him look better. He has a spark in his eyes. The staff is wonderful and always encouraging him to move and interact with other residents. As you enter the facility you do not feel like you are in one of those "sterile" facilities ......this feels like a real HOME with real people and of course sanitary!! It is beautiful there. You can feel the care in the atmosphere ... it is a very sacred and safe place.... I look forward to seeing my step dad and also the staff. It is the best kept secret in town!!!!

Tracy and Kim, We just wanted to thank you and your staff for the excellent care our mother received at Belvedere, especially near the end.  Julia and Kim went above and beyond by extending their shifts on Saturday and Sunday!  All the staff there have been so wonderful to mom during her 4 years there, and we appreciate the loving care she was shown.  It takes a very special person to work in a memory care facility, you are all angels in my book.  Thanks are not enough to express the gratitude we have for you all. May God bless you! With thanks and love,    Dianne and Sandy

I already placed my mom at Belvedere Commons of Tampa. The people were very nice. It is small, and it is actually convenient to my home. It is very nice, and the people seemed to be attentive to my mom, so I am very pleased with them. I haven’t had any problems. She’s been there a month, and there haven't been any problems. They have walking, and they do crafts, coloring, and play dough. They have vault bowling and entertainers that come in a couple of times a month and sing. I haven’t seen them yet, but she says they were very good. They do manicures about once a week. I haven’t had the food, but she says it is very good. It is very clean, and there are plenty of activities. There is a list of things she can do every two hours as far as something to keep her mind active and be social. She gets 3 meals a day and snacks throughout the day, but they don’t provide anything after bedtime. She is seeing a doctor there and then reporting back to me. If I want to take her to an outside doctor I can, but they said I don’t have to because they provide a doctor, a podiatrist, and a social worker. She’s only been there a month, and I have had some feedback from some of the doctors; so far, she is doing well.

I liked Belvedere Commons of Tampa very much. It was small. I got there during quiet time so everything was very quiet. The staff was very competent and very friendly The dining area was open, and it looked very nice, but it didn’t have much of a place to walk.

Dear Tracy, I wanted to thank you for your high level of attention, care and concern  shown with my move of my mother to Belvedere Commons  of  Tampa.  You  were  extremely  attentive  and  helpful when we made rapid plans to move my mother to Belvedere Commons as she was about to be released from the  hospital.  You  and your  staff  were  great. You even visited us and my mother twice in the hospital and the care and  concern  you  displayed was  genuine and moving. We regret that we did not move my mother to Belvedere Commons earlier as I am sure she would have benefited from the high level of care and the better circumstances. You went above and beyond the call of duty and I highly commend you for your efforts on my mother's behalf.

Via Caring.com I visited this facility (4 / 5 Stars) Belvedere Commons of Tampa was pretty well-organized. They had everything in place for assisted living, and that was very good. They had people who would attend to residents by bathing them and taking them to the bathroom. It's good that they really paid attention to the needs of the elderly. They served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

To the Management and Staff of Belvedere Commons, My aunt was a resident from March 2012 till she passed away June 2016. My wife and I toured many facilities, but when we arrived at Belvedere while waiting to talk to the director we were able to see the interaction between residents and staff. It was an expression of love and caring not seen at other facilities, which was very important to us. We were going to be leaving our loved one in the hands of the management and staff. Over the years the girls and our aunt developed a true friendship and love for each other. When they spoke to her, they said "Miss Lorraine," but most often, it was "Mama." Great food, if there was something on the menu that she didn't care for they made her what she wanted. There is always something for them to do,during the day. I believe that one of the most important things is the small size of the facility. This allows the staff to give the care we would give at home. They are truly our extended family.

To: The Staff at Belvedere Commons of Tampa, We just want to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Belvedere Commons for taking such wonderful care of our dear Aunt Lorraine. Even though we did not get to visit her often, it was obvious to us that she was very comfortable and loved the staff.  When we spoke to her, she was always very happy.  She considered Belvedere her home. I wish you could have known her when was her "feisty self." Aunt Lorraine loved her sweets and enjoyed sharing them with the staff.  I have made two of her favorites, brownies and apple cake. Old family recipes which she loved.  We hope you enjoy these goodies we have made for your staff.  Aunt Lorraine would have love that!

Sincerely, Kathy, Ron, Caitlyn, Gary, Sheryl and Kim - July 2016
